Lincoln Park Historical Foundation
Leroy E. Neal African American Research Center

Mission

The Lincoln Park Historical Foundation promotes opportunities for individuals and groups to become more aware of and develop an appreciation for the rich African American local history, diversity and culture through research, interpretation, training, lifelong education and database usage.

Vision

The Lincoln Park Historical Foundation envisions a permanent building, namely the Leroy E.Neal African American Research Center, as a repository for artifacts, publications, digital files, photographs, primary and secondary sources available for professional and familial research. The documents will chronicle the accomplishments and contributions of unsung Black heroes and heroine whose work has had an impact on the world. Researchers, educators, historians, students, family members, individuals and groups will have access to its historical collection-“Tracking the Footprints of African Americans” - which can be retrieved from its publications, internal database and World Wide Web.
